What is Botox?
Anti-wrinkle injections use a toxin called onobotulinumtoxinA to temporarily prevent a muscle from moving by blocking certain nerves, and Botox was the first medication to use botulinum toxin to accomplish this. Along with Botox, we use the following:
- AbobotulinumtoxinA (Dysport)
- Prabotulinumtoxin A (Jeuveau)
- IncobotulinumtoxinA (Xeomin)
This is a temporary treatment that will relax/paralyze the muscles that cause wrinkles.
